Taking
pictures of antlers is always a puzzle, and sometimes you have to sacrifice
height to show off tines - like the ones on this elk hybrid. Taxidermist, Matt Young's, arrestingly beautiful deer has a basket-shaped rack of long points that set off the very long main beams. In addition to the head, this animal's superb heavy mane, coat and condition promise an outstanding mount and many superb meals. Matt, as always, took the right shot and made a clean, successful hunt. |

It was a 130 yard shot that took down this exceptional, menil-colored fallow with beautiful split palms. Carmen Paris made another excellent shot! | |
Nick Krahl knocked down this feisty white fallow with uncle Yancy's .240
Weatherby mag before the buck knew what hit him, and made us all proud of
him. This deer had been trouble on the ranch - he tore down fences and fought other deer as much as he could. Nick, you did us a favor when you got this bad boy! |
