Herm
Fortin was poised for release three times. Herd
mates are notorious for foiling a hunter, branches are too, but the topper
came when both were under control and this very beautiful
Arizona Painted Desert ram began to scratch his target zone with his substantial
horns! Split second timing was needed. Herm had it and had his clean kill. The entire Fortin family dropped their quarry with one arrow on their hunts here! Wife, Regina, took a red deer, and son, Spike, an enormous hog. You can see their pictures in Exotics and Trophy Boars. |

The stunning beauty of this Mexican Ibex, his thick, flowing, snow white pelt, and his black markings,
was what captivated Chuck Ward. So much that he was willing to spend a full day stalking him. Great shooting, Chuck, and you got yourself a real beauty. | |
Rams seem to always
find new ways to make it tough. Steffany Ott was 100 yards away in
her stand, and this beautiful Corsican ram decided to lay down for a good,
long rest. If he was disturbed so that he would stand, odds are that he'd not only be up, but up and gone. After 20 minutes he got up, and Steffany and her .308 put him right back down. Great shot Steff! |
