This hog is
only 150 pounds, but he managed to give the
dogs a real bad time. When we released him he was enraged, and refused to run off. He kept us trapped on the hood of our truck for a good little while. You'd better have a good grip to hold a boar like this. It doesn't take but a second for him to flash back and cut your arm to ribbons. To underestimate a wild boar is dangerous and can be fatal. |
| This 350 pound boar hog is in a chute for his worming and
tagging. He doesn't like it. You can get an estimate of the boar's size by the guide's hands.
His cutter on his right was broken - probably in a boar fight - but you can see he has a good tusk on his left. He also has some hefty whetters. |
